Paedophile ordered to pay victim 24m euros after sexual assault

An alleged member of the Nigerian Mob drug mafia has been ordered to pay a fine of 24 million euros (£22.3m) after being jailed for sexually assaulting a child.

Rohinie Goma Gumba, 23, from the western state of Hargeisa, was arrested in October last year, accused of rape and trafficking children for sexual purposes.

Goma is said to have received around 25 online messages and dozens of mobile phone calls from a person who knew Gumba.

She then took the girl to Gama’s Kaka, where Goma said the girl told her she felt like a “loser” because Goma was not a member of the Mob.

Goma was sent to jail after she claimed she was forced to participate in one of the sexual acts after police found her contact details. She will be released on 18 March after giving evidence on Monday at the Appeal Court.
